It has come to our attention that there may be scam calls targeting individuals in our community. Please be aware:
SHIIP (Seniors’ Health Insurance Information Program) will NEVER call you unsolicited.
If you receive a call from an unfamiliar phone number, do not answer, and never provide personal information such as your Social Security number, Medicare details, or financial information over the phone.
If you believe you have been contacted by a scammer, please report the call to the Council on Aging of Buncombe County immediately. We are here to help protect you and provide guidance.
