Your Gift Makes a Difference

Your $100 donation allows us to provide essential service, such as:

  • An average of 5 food bags of 4 meals per bag.
  • 10 grab bars for Minor Home Repair
  • 3 hours of Medicare Counseling

Individual Giving

Donate to the Council on Aging of Buncombe County though continuous, monthly or one time giving. You may also donate through a Donor Advised Fund.

Material In-Kind Donations

Non-perishable food items are always a welcome donation!

Material In-Kind donations are greatly appreciated and needed to better serve our clients. Below are products we accept:

  • Non-perishable food items (Items high in protein, easy to meals, canned food) 
  • Incontinence Supplies (Depends and Pull-ups: small, medium and large preferred) 
  • Nutritional drinks (Ensure, Glucerna, Orgain, etc.)
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Cellphones

Supporters who donate $200 or more per year as an unrestricted gift to the Council on Aging get a leaf on our Donor Tree.  We can’t thank our supporters enough, and our tree is public recognition of their generous gift!

Where Your Dollars Go

85% of your donation goes directly to support our programs and services.

Dementia Friendly WNC is committed to increasing awareness around dementia and decreasing its negative stigma.  We aim to ease fears and increase comfort levels for those interacting with people living with dementia, encouraging those who attend our awareness sessions to take concrete action to reach out to those living with dementia.  We partner with people living with dementia, involving them as members of our steering team decisions and including their voices in our awareness sessions.
