Volunteers of Faith Help Seniors
The Council on Aging would like to recognize and thank the following faith groups for their volunteer projects that helped seniors in need.
New Life Community Church removed overgrown and broken tree branches from the driveways of two elderly women which allowed 'Mountain Mobility' to reach them for medical transportation.
Biltmore Baptist Church built a small ramp from garage to house, and a handrail in the hallway for safety and also tiled a bathroom floor.
The Timothy Project (First Baptist Church) repaired a mobile home exterior door which leaked when it rained for an elderly woman. They also repaired a ramp which was too steep and an exterior door for an elderly couple.
