Senior's Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP)

The Council on Aging is the Coordinating Agency for the Seniors’ Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) for Buncombe County.  SHIIP is a program of the North Carolina Department of Insurance.  SHIIP counselors are volunteers who have completed 24 hours of training and can answer questions about Medicare A & B, Medicare Supplements and other insurance products, Medicare Part D and Long Term Care products.
