Caring for Aging Parents Education and Support Program (CAPES) is an education and support group for anyone caring for, or concerned about, an aging parent.

CAPES was founded in 2005 to meet the needs of caregivers through support, resources and education.

Meetings are held monthly, alternating between a support group format and combined support and resource/education presentation.  Topics include dementia, legal issues, coping with stress, self-care, community resources and making difficult decisions.

Participants are welcome to attend according to their individual needs. There is no charge for participating or making use of the CAPES resources.

"Thank you just does not say what I feel.  I so walked away last night with hope.  You gave me a chance to feel 'daylight' and I needed that so much.  What you do at CAPES matters. I feel not so alone with a place to go and be heard not just humored.  I feel all the people there..understand the walk we are all on.  Walking alone is a helpless feeling and I feel encouraged to be back in a place that can "hear" my needs." (CAPES member)
