The AARP Tax-Aide Program, in cooperation with the IRS, N.C. Dept. of Revenue, and The Council on Aging of Buncombe County, Inc. will again offer free tax preparation for low- and middle-income taxpayers, as well as older adults (age 60+), from February 1 through April 15, 2010. Be Counted! 10 minutes, 10 questions, to Help your State. Did you know? You can help North Carolina and your community by filling out a confidential short 10-question Census form that will be mailed to your house in March. Data from the census will help all North Carolina residents in many ways including where to build schools, hospitals and roads. April 1st 2010 is National Census Day.
